LimbPower Celebrates Five Years of reVAMP: Transforming Lives Through Fitness and Nutrition

October 30, 2025 LimbPower, the national charity supporting amputees and individuals with limb difference, proudly marks the five-year anniversary of its flagship reVAMP 12-week fitness and nutrition programme. Since its launch in 2020, reVAMP has empowered 360 participants across 16 programme cycles to improve their physical and mental wellbeing through inclusive, accessible, and community-driven support.

Developed by LimbPower CEO Kiera Roche and GB Paracanoe Gold Medalist and Personal Trainer Jack Eyers, reVAMP offers three tailored pathways, standing, seated, and upper limb—each available at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. The programme is designed to meet the diverse needs of the limb different community and is supported by Sport England.

“reVAMP has been life-changing for so many of our community members,” said Kiera Roche. “It’s more than just a fitness programme—it’s a support network, a confidence booster, and a gateway to long-term wellbeing.”

Impact Highlights from the reVAMP Report

  • 100% of participants reported increased exercise and weekly participation.
  • 94% used the WhatsApp support group, fostering peer motivation and accountability.
  • 88% would recommend the programme, with 81% reporting high satisfaction.
  • 56% improved physical fitness, while 44% saw gains in confidence, strength, and mental wellbeing.
  • 37% achieved weight management goals, and 25% improved flexibility and coordination.
  • 31% signed up for subsequent reVAMP cycles, and 28% joined challenge events like 10Ks and hikes.

Participant Rachel M. shared:

“My husband started cycling to work and helping with meal prep. Even my 6-year-old daughter began doing daily workouts. Their answer when I asked what changed? ‘You did.’ You never know who you’re inspiring.”

Another participant, Lynn, said:

“You were a lifeline to me when I felt I was drowning. I can feel myself getting stronger and more optimistic.”

And Martin Yoxall added:

“I could only do three press-ups and weighed 113.5kg. Now I do 25 press-ups and weigh 103kg. reVAMP gave me the confidence to enter the Brighton 10K.”

Accessible and Affordable

reVAMP is offered at just £20 per month, making it one of the most affordable adapted fitness programmes in the UK. Participants benefit from:

  • Weekly exercise circuits
  • Nutritional guidance
  • Optional yoga and meditation
  • Peer-led WhatsApp support groups

As LimbPower looks ahead, the charity plans to expand reVAMP’s reach, continue refining its delivery based on participant feedback, and explore new digital innovations to enhance accessibility and engagement.
