LimbPower is proud to announce the launch of its LimbPower Delivery Pathway, a groundbreaking initiative designed to support amputees and individuals with limb difference throughout their lifelong rehabilitation and engagement journey.
Recognising that living with limb loss or limb difference is a non-linear and lifelong experience, the new pathway offers a structured, inclusive, and empowering framework that individuals can enter or re-enter at any stage, depending on their personal needs and goals.
The LimbPower Delivery Pathway includes:
Rehabilitation (Early Intervention): Online communities, at-home exercise videos, limb centre resources, and outreach programmes such as Coffee & Chat sessions, online exercise classes, and LimbTalk videos.
Lifestyle (Engagement): Confidence workshops, seasonal guides, travel toolkits, and regular e-newsletters to support everyday living.
Adaptive Physical Activity/Sport (Recreational): PE resources for schools and clubs, the Prepare to Push programme, and National Fitness Day workshops.
Empowerment Fund: Access to Nordic walking, an amputee BMI calculator, physical activity cards, and family camps.
Sport (Participation): Regional activity hubs, cycling clinics, and single-sport events to encourage active participation.
Beyond Sport: Strategic advice and partnered programmes with National Governing Bodies (NGBs).
Volunteering & Working: Opportunities for community involvement, challenge events, and talent identification.
Outreach Services: Advocacy and support in areas such as clinical physiotherapy, mentoring, prosthetics, benefits, employment, and education.
“Our mission is to ensure that every individual with limb difference or limb loss has access to the tools, resources, and community they need to live a full and active life,” said, Kiera Roche, Founder and CEO at LimbPower. “This pathway is a testament to our commitment to holistic, person-centred support.”
